About Ramapo ASA Softball
Division K-1
Kindergarten & First Grade Division - For girls who are in either grade. Girls bat from a tee. All girls play the field and bat. This division is meant for teaching the basics of the game.
All games for this division are played at Camp Scuffy or Manny Welder. The registration fee for this division is $115. The girls participate in about 10 to 12 games during the season. Games are played on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday
nights and Saturday mornings.
There is a high level of participation by parents in this division to assist the girls.
Division 2-3
Second and Third Grade Division. The coaches pitch to the girls. The division is meant to teach sportsmanship and build on personal skills.
This division plays its games mainly at the Camp Scuffy and Manny Weldler Park. Games are played on weekday nights and Saturday mornings. The registration fee for this division is $115.
Division 4-5
Fourth and Fifth Grade Division. This division is for these 2 grades. Girls pitch and catch behind the plate for the first time in this division. There is an umpire behind home plate calling balls and strikes. Stay tuned for new and exciting rules for this division!
Games for this division are played at the Manny Welder Park, and Camp Scuffy Fields. Games are played on weekday nights and Saturdays. The teams play a schedule of about 10 to 15 games depending on the weather. The registration fee for this division is $140.

Junior Division
This division is for girls in the sixth, seventh and eighth grades still interested in playing in a recreational league. The girls now bunt, steal bases and slide. The game becomes more competitive at this level while still
incorporating instructional aspects.
The Junior Division plays its games at Manny Weldler Park fields and the Mile Road high school fields. Games are played on weekday nights and Sundays at 5pm. Between 10 and 15 games are played during the spring in this division. The registration fee is $140.
Senior HS Division Grades 9 thru 12
